We are a couple with a huge passion for travel and our history.
As a result of this passion, Império Romano Guest House was born, where we try, through a very peculiar decoration, to take our guests to travel through history, on a long journey, to the Roman Period.
The GuestHouse
The Roman Empire Guest House results from a significant restoration work
either from the centenary building or from everything inside,
furniture and decoration, work that lasted 18 months, beginning
in December 2017.
Our History
Most of the bedroom furniture was purchased in private homes that due to life circumstances (delivery of the parents' house, moving house and even country, ...) they were forced to sell it.
The decorative elements such as the statues and everything that characterizes this Roman Empire style decoration were purchased on second-hand sale sites, flea markets, antique auctions and antique dealers across the country, over these 18 months.
The restoration they present and which is illustrated in the photographs below was carried out by us, in a totally "homemade" way, using internet videos of "how to...", where you learn to do everything, namely, apply wallpaper, upholstering a chair, leafing with gold or silver... confirming the motto "the dream rules life" and "Man wants, the work is born".
